Acceptable Use Policy
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses AutoTurret, including team members you invite. If you break it, we may remove content, disconnect servers, or suspend accounts, with or without notice.
You may not use AutoTurret to:
- Access servers you aren't authorised to administer, including by using leaked, guessed or shared RCON passwords without the owner's permission.
- Attack anything: denial-of-service, flooding, scanning or probing networks, using AutoTurret as a proxy to reach private networks, or sending traffic designed to disrupt game servers or other services.
- Abuse the Service: get around rate limits, access controls or suspensions; scrape it; reverse-engineer it to find vulnerabilities and then exploit them; create accounts in bulk; or interfere with other users.
- Harass, threaten, stalk or dox anyone, including by using player data such as names, SteamIDs, IP addresses, alt links or chat logs to target people outside the game.
- Discriminate or spread hate, including targeting players for bans or abuse because of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics.
- Exploit or endanger children in any way.
- Post illegal or infringing content in server names, notes, messages, macros or anything else you store with us. This includes other people's private information, malware, and content that infringes copyright or trademarks.
- Spam: abuse Discord webhooks or in-game broadcast commands to send unsolicited advertising, or point webhooks at channels you don't control.
- Sell or misuse player data: you may not sell, publish or hand over data collected through AutoTurret except as needed to run your server lawfully.
- Break the law or other platforms' rules, including Facepunch's rules for Rust servers, Steam's and Discord's terms, and your game host's terms.
- Misrepresent AutoTurret, for example by claiming to be AutoTurret staff or suggesting that Facepunch, Valve or Discord endorse your server through AutoTurret.
Security research
Found a vulnerability? Please email AutoTurretSupport@gmail.com before telling anyone else, and give us reasonable time to fix it. Test only against your own account and servers, don't access other people's data, and don't degrade the Service. Good-faith research that follows these rules is welcome.
Reporting abuse
To report abuse of AutoTurret, email AutoTurretSupport@gmail.com with as much detail as you can, such as server name, address, SteamIDs, screenshots and times.
